Cello Studio - 7+ years-R

Prerequisites: ALL Students and Parents are required to make a commitment to the course for the full year, as it would be very difficult to join the class mid year, thus the class size needs to be established from the beginning and maintained throughout the year. This also ensures that the student will have the time and opportunity to achieve their own personal success.

Materials: All students will receive a sturdy canvas carry bag for all of the hands-on manipulatives that will be used to facilitate learning: flashacards, solfege cards, songbinders, theory pages, accordion packs, music cd’s, and so, so, so much more. After the intial introductory learning phase, the classes will be using the Suzuki Cello School instrument literature and cd’s.

Practice Commitment: Taking into account the time needed for set-up and putting away the instrument, 30/45 minutes daily should be allowed in the beginning. Sometimes small increments of practice many times a day, i.e., 2 times 15 minutes over the course of the day, is sometimes more effective than one sitting.
